Cessford Construction

Family owned Cessford Construction Company first started providing quality service in Toledo, Iowa in the 1950s. An opportunity for growth in the asphalt paving business presented itself  with the construction of the Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways in 1956. Shortly after, the company purchased the still operating quarry, Le Grand Quarry, to supply aggregate to local paving projects.

The company was able to expand its operations through acquisitions to serve more customers and communities with products and services from Southeast, Iowa and West Central, Illinois. In 2007, Cessford Construction Company joined the CRH team.
